Follow the below steps carefully.

  • 1) Go to Search Box on Your Computer

Every Windows operating system has a search box located in different place, so you search and find out the search box on your computer and go to this search box.

  • 2) Type “cmd” in the search box

After getting the search box on your computer, inside search box type “cmd”

  • 3) Go to CMD Script

After typing cmd inside search box then you will get the script name as “command prompt”, select it and press the enter key to go to cmd script.

  • 4) Type the command [ cd /d]

Inside the cmd script type given command with single space like [cd(space) /d(space)]. For example, see the below screenshot and after that don’t press the enter key, follow the next step. (Press the enter key after completing the step no 4 and 5)

  • 5) Type the targeted File or Folder directory Address

After typing the above command, now you need to type the targeted File or Folder directory Address.

For typing the targeted File or Folder directory Address follow the below steps.

(i)Right Click on Targeted File or Folder

Go to the Targeted File or Folder and right click on that file or folder.

(ii)Go to properties option

After the right click, a popup options list will come, see the option list and find the properties option, now click on that properties option to go to properties option.

(iii)Copy the location address

After clicking on the properties option, the properties option of that file or folder will come as a pop-up window. Now see in this popup window, here you will get location address [as a demo C:\Users\NUR BAHAR LASKAR\Desktop], Copy that location address.

(iv)Paste the location address on CMD script

  • 6) Press Enter key to go to targeted File or Folder directory

After completing the step no. 4 and 5, now press the enter key to go to the targeted File or Folder directory inside the cmd script.(see the screenshot)

  • 7)Type the Command [dir /x ] to find all the File or Folder list inside the targeted File or Folder directory

After going into the targeted file directory, now type the given command with the single space as [dir (space)/x (space)]. For example see the screenshot.

  • 8) Press Enter Key

After typing the given command press the enter key, then all the file or folder name list inside the targeted file or folder directory will come.See the screenshot it will come like this

  • 9) Choose the targeted File or Folder name

Now you find out the targeted file or folder name from the list. In the list, you will get the entire file or folder name as two type in two Colum one is short or address name and another is described or full name, then you will be confused which one you will choose, So you must choose the short or address name.

To easily understand follow the example see the screenshot, the screenshot is edited as Colum-1 and Colum-2. In the Colum-2, you will get the full name of your targeted file or folder and in the Colum-1, you will get the short or address name so you must choose the targeted file name as Colum-1 by the help of Colum-2.

  • 10) Type the Command [rmdir /q /s  ] and  Searched file or folder name

After choosing targeted file or folder name, now to remove or delete the chosen file or folder type the given command with single space as [rmdir(space)/q(space)/s (space) ] and the chosen targeted file or folder name. You must type same as in the below screenshot

  • 11) Press Enter key

Now press the enter key and see your targeted file or folder removed.
